The Chinese Community Center of the Peninsula has performed community service programs and activities for decades. One of the programs is the monthly Senior Lunch.
On the last Saturday of each month, volunteers prepare and serve a three-course hot lunch for senior citizens at the Cubberly Communicty Center Auditorium. The luncheon only costs seniors a few dollars and provides them with an opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and enjoy a hot, nutritious meal.
Each December, the Senior Lunch is replaced with the New Year's Eve Bash that is sponsored by the City of Palo Alto. The CCCP takes on the task of preparing and serving a sumptuous buffet luncheon for 150-200 seniors! There is live music, dancing and a champagne countdown.
